Seth has a background in strategic communications and public affairs, policy advocacy, social marketing, and writing. He has worked extensively with organizations in the nonprofit arena—from foundations and think tanks to advocacy groups and large research organizations—as well as in the for-profit sector.

At Equal Measure, Seth leads all aspects of the organization’s thought leadership—with an emphasis on strategic communications, social sector trend-sensing, and business development. His responsibilities include leading communications campaigns, managing publications, overseeing the website (winner of the Web Marketing Association Non-Profit Standard of Excellence Award), and maintaining traditional and social media presences. He also coaches Equal Measure team members on developing their thought leadership presence. Seth serves as communications liaison with Equal Measure’s clients and works with project teams to develop strategies to promote the lessons and products of those initiatives. Among his roles are serving as a co-principal investigator for the National Science Foundation’s Eddie Bernice Johnson INCLUDES Coordination Hub, which manages the INCLUDES National Network in its mission to broaden participation in STEM fields.

Before joining Equal Measure, Seth served as an independent consultant, working with organizations such as MWW Group’s Public Affairs and Corporate Communications divisions, and with MWW’s national clients. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant with Worldways Social Marketing. In that role, Seth led communications and policy advocacy campaigns for public health organizations and foundations. Seth also served as director of strategic communication for the American Board of Internal Medicine, and as director of communications for the Center for Health Care Strategies.
