Renée Byng Yancey has more than 25 years of experience developing strategy, generating revenue, and working with community leaders, students, boards, and C-Suite executives in philanthropy, higher education and the social sector. She has an extensive background in educational program design, government relations, strategy, leading diversity and inclusive practices, and board and leadership development.

Renée works closely with the president and executive team to provide strategic direction for Equal Measure’s philanthropic services and evaluation portfolios. She is also deeply engaged in the organization’s talent development, and thought leadership initiatives.

Her career trajectory includes leadership roles in higher education and philanthropy. Renée began her career in the banking industry where she worked for nearly a decade. Renée was a founding member of the D5 Coalition leadership team, and was heavily involved in its predecessor initiative, The Diversity in Philanthropy Project.
