Lisa has extensive experience as an advocate, researcher, and evaluator who promotes culturally responsive practices to foster academic and health equity among underserved, underrepresented, and vulnerable populations.
At Equal Measure, Lisa serves as National Program Deputy Director of New Connections: Increasing Diversity of RWJF Programming, a national program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. New Connections aims to increase the diversity of perspectives informing RWJF programs by providing research funding and career development opportunities to researchers and evaluators from historically underrepresented groups. The program also supports a broad network of diverse scholars working in health policy, health care, social science, and related disciplines.
She has nearly 20 years of experience working in academia, social services, and health care. Lisa also has extensive experience in administrative operations, program marketing, and grant management. She is committed to the professional development and advancement of racial and ethnic students and scholars of color through education, advising, and career coaching.
